INGLEFIELD GOLD OPERATION
Company Profile

Mines: Maxwells, Columbian, Jersey, March Unity/Morning Star
Commodity: Gold
Ownership: GBM Gold Ltd, 100 per cent

Operations
The Inglefield gold operation is 40km north-west of Bendigo in Victoria. The operation consists of four main mining areas that produce about 90 per cent of production: Maxwells, Columbian, Jersey and the March Unity/Morning Star lines of reef.

The Inglewood goldfield has produced about 130,000 ounces down to an average vertical mining depth of 100 metres, with the deepest workings rarely exceeding 300m.

Owner GBM Gold has focused initially on the Maxwells line of reef, due to the presence of the existing Maxwells mine and mill development.

The main underground focus at Maxwells has been two zones of high-grade mineralisation, termed the Max shoot and Max North shoot.

Mining from this area has produced grades in excess of 60 grams or two ounces per tonne. With mining dilution taken into account, GBM expected an average production grade of between 13g/t and 15g/t from Maxwells.

The company has undertaken a refurbishment and upgrade of the existing Maxwells processing facility, which it expected to be completed and deliver consistent daily production from August 2011. This plant utilises gravity recovery to recover free gold, and a cyanide leach circuit to recover the balance of gold requiring chemical release.

GBM has also defined exploration targets exceeding 600,000oz. Research has revealed substation exploration potential, with more than 20 targets identified throughout the license area. GBM aimed to deliver a further 600,000oz of drill-indicated resource.

Mine status
Operating. GBM has aimed to progressively confirm each exploration target to indicated resource status, with a view to providing an ongoing feed supply for the processing facility for at least 10 years.
